Louisiana Office of Community Development

The goal of the Office of Community Development is to improve the quality of life of the residents of Louisiana, and we accomplish that by administering state and federal grants.

U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is a U.S. government agency created in 1965 to support the housing market and homeownership. HUD does this by improving affordable homeownership opportunities, increasing safe and affordable rental options, reducing chronic homelessness, fighting housing discrimination by ensuring equal opportunity in the rental and purchase markets, and supporting vulnerable populations. HUD provides a variety of disaster resources and partner with Federal and state agencies to help implement disaster recovery assistance.

Southern University Agriculture Research and Extension Center

Established in 2001, the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SUAREC) stands as the fifth campus within the Southern University System, the nation’s only Historically Black College and University System.  The SUAREC provides service to the citizens of Louisiana in a manner that is useful in addressing their scientific, technological, social, economic, and cultural needs in order to enhance their overall quality of life.

The ServSafe Food Safety Training program leads the way in providing current and comprehensive educational materials to the restaurant industry. More than 4 million foodservice professionals have been certified through the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) works to protect America from health, safety and security threats. The CDC fights disease and supports communities and citizens to do the same and provides a wealth of food safety knowledge and information.
